Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Wildlife Management Area (WMA) Boundaries. This data set was created by TPWD for public use. These boundaries are the WMA functional boundaries that best representation the WMA boundaries for public uses. For some WMA they represent surveyed boundaries or boundaries defined by legal documents, but sometimes they are not depending on if those boundaries conflict with safety issues or other agreements. For some WMAs the functional boundaries are defined by WMA infrastructure, such as fences and roads and could be the historical boundaries that have been used for decades. This data is not intended to be used for profit.
The TPWD Wildlife Division provides these data as a public resource of general information for use "as is." The data presented are aggregated from a wide variety of sources and are NOT to be construed or used as a "legal description".
